ROOFTOP SOLAR PLANT MANUFACTURERS

WHAT IS ROOFTOP SOLAR PLANT?

A grid-connected rooftop solar plant is a system that generates the electricity from sun using the solar panel mounted on roof of residential, commercial, institutional, or industrial buildings. A place free from shadow available on the rooftop, a plant of size from 1-500kw can be installed, as per the Central Government Scheme. Rooftop Solar plant is the new concept that has caught the attention of the solar manufacturer and the clients. Rooftop solar power generated is feed into the main incomers so it will be used as priority till it is available.

Types of Rooftop Solar Plant

  • Solar Rooftop System or Off Grid Systems with storage facility using battery
  • Grid Connected Solar Rooftop PV System.

Reason for availing the Rooftop Solar Plant

  • Reduction in electricity bills
  • No additional land is required for installation
  • Very less maintenance is required after installation
  • Gives higher rate of return than banks
  • Contrives to ‘green economy’
  • Emissions of CO2 is reduced
  • Moderate in all the climates

Advantages of Rooftop Solar Plant

  • Beat rising energy costs
  • You generate your own electricity
  • Sustainability
  • It contributes to energy efficiency
  • It is flexible & scalable
  • Solar solution is for everyone
  • Solar Energy Is Practical and Profitable

Costs of Rooftop Solar Plant

  • As per our resources in the solar industry the costs of the rooftop solar plant costs anywhere between Rs30 to Rs50 per watt of power generated.

Financial Assistance Provided by the Ministry for installation of the Rooftop Solar Plant

  • Central Financial Assistance gives 15% of the total cost under the Grid connected Rooftop Solar plants and Small Solar Plants.

Other Fiscal incentives available for Rooftop Solar Plant

  • Concessional import duty/excise duty exemption, accelerated reduction and tax holiday for setting up of grid connected rooftop power plants.

Area required for installation of 1kW Rooftop Solar Plant

  • 1 kW rooftop system usually requires 12 sq. metres (130 square feet) of flat, shadow-free area if possible south-facing. Actual sizing, though, depends also on local factors of solar radiation and weather conditions and shape of the roof.
